Yes. You heard right. 5 cent ice cream cones today!
Yes we do. In shop and several grocery stores.
$1.90 tax an all
Yes they do and it's priced very reasonably- as are all their items.
This restaurant is one place that you have to go to if you are visiting Florence. Trowbridge's is not a fancy place but when you walk in the door you instantly feel as if you have taken a step back in time. The ice cream is phenomenal and as simple as a sandwich is, that is what makes the place so amazing. It's a must visit.
Sure nice and cheap ice cream
The best pineapple orange ice cream!
I have been going to Trowbridges more than 50 years. It is the same now as it was back then. It's like going back in time. If you're ever in Florence when they're open, you must stop an experience Trowbridges!
This place is amazing! The service is excellent and everyone is so friendly. Not to mention the ice cream, which is absolutely the best I've ever eaten. The sandwiches are delicious and the prices are more than reasonable!
Great! Very good service! But dont go on Saturday, too many screaming toddlers. Will be returning during the week. Want to try their chicken salad sandwich 👍
What a blast from the past! My Mom and Dad brought me here as a child, and it was such a treat. Now as a 64 year old, it's still a treat! The cool thing is , it's still exactly as I remember it as a child. I have frequented this place all my life and will continue to. The ladies are wonderful and attentive, the food is still exactly as it was prepared for a hundred years, and the nostalgia of the place is unique. If you're ever in Florence, it's a must to eat there. I love my home town!
Great Florence staple for throwback food and ice cream. Love the glass bottle cokes! Gets crazy packed at lunch with limited seating so get there early and snag a table as soon as someone gets up!
This was a "memory lane" visit for my mom and aunt. They remember growing up in this area and getting cones here as children. Mom even remembers visiting here with her parents and her daddy hitching up the mules that pulled their wagon just down the street. The menu is simple but filling, I recommend the cheese and pimento grilled sandwich, yumm. But seriously, the ice cream . . . this is what we come to Trowbridge for! I had the award winning Orange Pineapple on top of Cherry Chocolate. Oh yeah. The staff is friendly, the setting is old time ice cream parlor and the memories are still being made. A great place to continue building memories like my mom or even start new family traditions.
Love how they still have this place open! It’s in a great spot. Just wish there were more parking spots but I know there is nothing to fix that. Ice cream could taste better (strawberry) and the hot dogs are the cheap disgusting kind...
Stopped in for some ice-cream and OMGosh! Pecan Praline was heaven! Loved the atmosphere as the kind ladies behind the counter! Defiantly a gem in Northern Alabama!
Been going here for many years! Enjoy the ole time ice cream bar and their famous chicken salad! Don't forget your coke served up cold in a glass bottle!
Love this place and the girls working bust there ends in there continuiously... They all have great attitudes and service. The ice cream is... ohh myyy so good 😊 never had anything bad period here
I really loved the scenery. They have definitely preserved the history here. Ice cream was good to.
This place with a small ice cream shop is downtown Florence Alabama. great ice cream not sure if it's locally made there. But I do know the ice cream is very good. A very popular spot with a college kids it could be a little less sitting in the place but it was comfortable. I highly recommend this small ice cream shop
Delightful immersion in the past, a Florence landmark, friendly folk, try the chicken salad sandwich (it's addicting)!
The food is very good, and the desserts are even better. A must stop if you're hungry.I have pictured their Oh My Gosh and sundae desserts. Get the Oh My if you're still really hungry.
Old diner style interior serving classic sandwiches and soups at a reasonable price. Also have over 20 ice cream flavors which is what they're known for.
Hometown favorite for chicken salad sandwiches and chili dogs. Tons of flavors for your ice cream cone.
Went to Trowbridge's during the pandemic, they ware masks and make sure you practice social distancing.
I've been coming here since the 80's as a kid. The ham salad sandwich is good and so is the pimento cheese. But their ice cream is awesome! Get the Oh-My-Gosh or a sundae.
Best ice cream in alabama hands down. I like to order the BLT with a chocolate shake on occasion
Great place for lunch. And great hot dogs
Wonderful small town diner with really inexpensive prices. Another plus was the amount of vegetarian options, which are usually hard to find in small diner's like this
Wow! Great place. Like an old fashioned soda shop. Delicious ice cream, shakes, sandwiches & chili.
I haven't yet seen the hype justified as far as the ice cream goes, but their chicken salad sandwich combo is good at a good value, and I won't argue with ice cream for dessert.
Have seen so many pictures and lists of "places you need to visit". Totally lived up to the hype - service and atmosphere so took us back to our childhood. Had an ice cream soda for the first time in probably 40 years. So glad to be taken there by friends. Go if you have the opportunity.
Classic diner food for a classic diner price (cheap!). Servers are really nice and food came quickly. Milkshakes were the best I've had in years! Truly lives up to the legends I've heard about it.
Must try the Orange Pineapple ice cream!! The chili dog with chocolate milkshake is my favorite time get anytime I visit!
Fantastic ice cream here! Inside design is a cute old style parlor, and all the employees are friendly! Also kept very clean and nice inside.
Great food and the desert named Oh My Gish is spectacular!!
Trowbridge's is the classic ice cream shop in Florence. You HAVE to eat here, that's all there is to it. Personal favorites are the homemade pimiento cheese followed by a scoop of cherry vanilla!
Ice cream is so good. Love the atmosphere.
Trowbridge's is always a treat. They're food is wonderful and their ice cream flavors are tremendous!
Delicious ice cream, lots of flavors and very reasonable prices! I recommend the oh my gosh brownie.
Everything was excellent just as I have grown to expect from this long standing icon of Florence Alabama.
Incredible prices on basic like your mom made sandwiches and delicious icecream
Stop in and you are instantly pulled back in time. Very nice people and a chance to just slow down to enjoy the basics that make life good. It's a small place and very popular,so don't be in a rush at peak times.
We love Trowbridge's! It's best little ice cream shop around! Love their Chicken salad sandwiches so much!
Famous place in Florence. Perfect food and ice cream! The girls work so hard and fast to keep the customers happy. It's almost always crowded but worth the wait.
Wonderful as usual. Many great memories here Suggestion- please sweep and mom after hours. It was a little hard to enjoy my ice cream cone with all the cleaning and moving tables going on.
Love the old fashion environment
too much $ for what it is but a cute, fun place to kick back and relax, when it isn’t packed
Trowbridge's is always a wonderful place to eat. The food is simple yet delicious and the atmosphere is unique, classic and family friendly. It is a one of a kind place. Somewhere to take your children to give them a taste of the old days. The ice cream is the best around. I definitely will continue to go back.
Ice cream is good, food is good for what you get but the staff can seem irritated having to be there. I went on a haunted tour of florence and Throwbridge's was on the tour so every time I pass by or go in I look for the man in flannel!
Uniquely Florence institution that refuses to move into the 21st century, and that's a very good thing. In fact there are lots of very good things here. The banana split is made 3 scoops of real ice cream (chocolate, vanilla & strawberry) with appropriate toppings and whipped cream...the real deal in an glass dish. Dining area is crowded with tables and booths so it can be a challenge to move around during lunch or after school. It is the one place to bring a first time visitor to Florence. Staff is always helpful and make the visit fun.
My favorite place as a kid and still my favorite as an adult
An awesome treat! Great sandwiches, and ice cream to die for. Try the orange pineapple...its great!
Cute atmosphere, pimento cheese sandwiches that will turn anyone into a pimento cheese lover, and cheap hand-scooped ice cream.
